Salesforce DevOps tiers read as the upgrade path they design

The tier boundary is not where the price changes. It is where the entitlement does. Four Salesforce DevOps ladders, read gate by gate, with one constructed account worked up each.

Summary

  • The tier boundary is not where the price changes. It is where the entitlement does. Four Salesforce DevOps ladders, read gate by gate, with one constructed account worked up each.

The tier boundary is not where the price changes. It is where the entitlement does. Read the public Salesforce DevOps tiers of Gearset, Hutte, Copado Essentials and FlowSprite AI as ladders. On Gearset, rollback sits one rung above the entry price and SAML two; on Hutte, pipelines and rollback sit one rung up and SSO two; on FlowSprite AI, approval workflows with separation of duties and audit log export sit one rung up. For a team that needs approval with separation of duties plus an exportable audit log, a flat EUR 199 per month tier is the most legible ladder here. For scratch-org pooling, it is not. All prices were read on 1 October 2026.

How Salesforce DevOps tiers are built: axis, floor and gates

Each ladder has an axis, a floor and a set of gates. Gearset meters on the Gearset user: Starter at $215 and Teams at $320 per user per month, with Enterprise at "Request a quote", according to the vendor's page, read 1 Oct 2026. The Gearset pricing page lists scheduled deployments, rollback and role-based access control as Teams additions, and SAML as an Enterprise inclusion. CI/CD is metered on a second axis, per team: $550 Starter, $1,100 Teams, Enterprise by quote. The page shows "$" without naming a currency.

Hutte meters on the user and on the project. The Hutte pricing page lists Core from EUR 75 and Growth from EUR 150 per user per month, billed yearly, with additional projects at EUR 115 per project per month. Core includes one project, Growth up to two. Custom buttons, Releases, Pipelines, Revert and Rollback, and free guest users are Growth-only, according to the vendor's page, read 1 Oct 2026.

Copado Essentials meters on the user, with a free floor. Essentials Free is $0 and capped at 15 deployments per month; Basic is $79 and Plus is $195 per user per month billed annually, according to the Copado pricing page, read 1 Oct 2026. The full DevOps platform and every listed add-on are Contact Sales.

FlowSprite AI meters on the tier, not the seat: EUR 99 per month for Professional (10 users, 6 Salesforce connections) and EUR 199 per month for Enterprise (25 users, 20 connections). Custom has no listed price.

The metering unit and what it proxies

A per-user meter proxies headcount, a per-project meter proxies codebases, a deployment cap proxies activity, and a flat tier with a user ceiling proxies team size in bands. Per-user pricing taxes adding a reviewer; per-project pricing taxes splitting repositories; a deployment cap taxes shipping often. Under flat Salesforce DevOps tiers, the eighth seat is free up to the user ceiling.

One account worked up four ladders

A constructed account: eight people touch releases, and the team wants governance, meaning someone other than the author approves and the record leaves the tool. Each line shows the rung that carries the governance-adjacent features its page lists, where it lists any; these sources map no competitor rung to this exact requirement.

  • Copado Essentials: 8 x $79 = $632 per month on Basic; 8 x $195 = $1,560 on Plus. Sources here do not record which Essentials tier carries governance features; the step costs $116 per user, or $928 per month.
  • Hutte: 8 x EUR 75 = EUR 600 from Core; Pipelines and Revert and Rollback require Growth, so 8 x EUR 150 = from EUR 1,200, before any third project at EUR 115.
  • Gearset: rollback and role-based access sit in Teams, so 8 x $320 = $2,560, before CI/CD at $550 or $1,100 per team. SAML moves the account to a quote.
  • FlowSprite AI: approval workflows with separation of duties and audit log export sit in Enterprise, so EUR 199 flat, which is about EUR 24.88 per user at eight (199 / 8 = 24.875).

Compare in one currency only. Hutte Growth from EUR 1,200 minus EUR 199 leaves at least EUR 1,001 per month: a gap between rungs, not between equal entitlements.

The boundary each ladder is designed around

Where pages name a governance feature, it is absent below the gate, not throttled. Gearset places rollback at Teams and identity at Enterprise. Hutte places pipelines and rollback at Growth and SSO at Enterprise / Partner. Copado Essentials' one recorded gate is activity: the Free tier's 15-deployments-per-month cap. FlowSprite AI places approval workflows with separation of duties and audit log export at Enterprise, above Professional; a human approves each deploy on every tier.

FlowSprite AI's working model is also the governance model: the customer's own AI drafts a Salesforce metadata change. Each change lands as a GitHub pull request in the customer's private repository. It is tested in a sandbox before production, and a human approves it before deploy. Production is never auto-touched. To trace that gate, see the FlowSprite AI tiers and workflow. Every tool call the customer's AI executes is audited, and the MCP surface is role-scoped and tier-gated.

The limits are real. FlowSprite AI's trial is 14 days with no card; Gearset and Hutte both offer 30, according to the vendors' pages, read 1 Oct 2026. Hutte's manage environments page describes scratch-org pooling, according to the vendor's page, read 1 Oct 2026. A team needing those should not choose between Salesforce DevOps tiers on price alone.

Where these Salesforce DevOps tiers break

On a per-user ladder, every seat that needs a paid license is billed; Hutte's Growth tier lists free guest users, so check each page's seat definition. A flat ladder does the reverse at the floor: three users pay the same EUR 99 as ten. An account needing 21 connections passes FlowSprite AI's Enterprise ceiling and moves to Custom, which has no listed price.

What the packaging cannot tell an observer

Salesforce DevOps tiers show entitlements, not usage. A price page cannot show how many accounts reach the governance gate, what a quote resolves to, or whether "from" prices hold at eight seats. Gearset, Hutte and FlowSprite AI end in a tier with no printed price, and Copado's full platform above Essentials is Contact Sales, so their ceilings stay unread. It can show which rung holds the governance features a page names, and what the step costs in the printed currency.
